Terms and conditions

The terms on which Pozzani Pure Water Ltd sells water test kits and laboratory analysis through drinking-water-testing.co.uk.

Last updated 17 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Drinking Water Testing is a trading name of Pozzani Pure Water Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 02215909, with its registered office at Warwick Road, Fairfield Industrial Estate, Louth, Lincolnshire, LN11 0YB. Our VAT registration number is GB 497 7421 95.

You can contact us by email at enquiries@drinking-water-testing.co.uk, by telephone on 01507 608 100 (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm) or by post at the address above. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Pozzani Pure Water Ltd, and "you" means the customer placing an order.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order placed through this website. By ticking the box at checkout you agree to them. Please read them before you order, because they set out what you are buying, how to cancel and what to do if something goes wrong. If you do not agree with them, do not place an order.

If you are buying as a business, some consumer rights described here (in particular the right to cancel in section 6) do not apply to you by law, and section 12 applies instead.

3. What you are buying

Each test we sell is a sampling kit delivered to you by post together with laboratory analysis of the sample you return in it, and a report of the results in your online account. The kit contains the bottles, instructions and packaging needed for the test you have ordered. The parameters analysed, the turnaround time and the price are shown on each test page and in your order confirmation.

Add-ons extend the analysis with extra parameters. They are only available with the test they are listed against.

Analysis is carried out by a UKAS accredited laboratory. Every parameter listed on a test page is within that laboratory's UKAS scope of accreditation at the time you order. Should a parameter ever fall outside the scope, the test page and the certificate will say so.

4. Placing an order

Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it, and a contract is formed, when we send you an order confirmation by email. We may decline an order, for example because a test is no longer available, because we cannot deliver to your address, or because of an obvious pricing error; if we do, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

Please check your order confirmation. If anything is wrong, contact us straight away.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT at the current rate and delivery of the kit to a UK address. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you place your order. Where a test is offered at a reduced price for a limited time, the ordinary price and the end date are shown alongside it.

Payment is taken in full at checkout by card. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card number. For approved account customers we may instead agree payment on invoice, on the terms stated on the invoice.

6. Your right to cancel

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of the day you receive the kit, without giving a reason, for a full refund including the standard cost of delivery to you.

The analysis is a service that we begin as soon as your sample arrives at the laboratory. By returning a sample you ask us to begin the analysis within the cancellation period. Once a sample has been received by the laboratory, the analysis cannot be stopped and the order can no longer be cancelled. Until then, the kit may be returned unused and your right to cancel is unaffected.

To cancel, tell us clearly that you wish to cancel: email enquiries@drinking-water-testing.co.uk quoting your order number, or telephone us. You may use the model cancellation form in the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, but you do not have to.

7. Returns and refunds after cancellation

If you have received the kit, return it to us at the address in section 1 within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel. The kit must be unused, with the bottles unopened and the seals intact. You are responsible for the cost of returning it, and we recommend a tracked service. We may reduce your refund if the value of the kit has been reduced by handling beyond what was needed to inspect it.

We refund by the method you paid with, within 14 days of receiving the returned kit or of your proof of posting it, whichever is earlier, or within 14 days of your cancellation if no kit had been sent.

8. Delivery and taking your sample

Kits are sent by Royal Mail to the delivery address you give us. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout; they are estimates, not guarantees. If a kit has not arrived within ten working days of your order confirmation, contact us and we will send a replacement or refund you.

The kit includes instructions on when and how to take the sample and how to return it. Please follow them. Microbiological samples in particular must reach the laboratory within the time stated on the instructions, so take them early in the week and post them the same day. We cannot analyse a sample that arrives outside the stated time, in the wrong bottle or in a damaged condition, and in that case we will offer you a replacement kit at the price shown on the website at the time.

9. Turnaround and results

The turnaround shown for each test is the usual number of working days between the laboratory receiving your sample and your results being available. It is not a guaranteed date. Occasionally a parameter must be re-run, which adds time; we will tell you if your results are going to be significantly late.

Your results are published to your online account and we email you when they are ready. The laboratory certificate reports the measured value of each parameter against the relevant UK guideline or regulatory value. Our written notes explain what the values mean in plain English and are provided to help you understand your results.

A test reports the water in the sample you took, at the time you took it. It does not certify that the supply is safe at any other time or point, and it is not a substitute for the sampling your regulator or local authority may require. Where a result exceeds a guideline value we may put you in touch with a Pozzani water treatment engineer; any treatment work is a separate agreement.

10. Your account

Results are delivered through an online account created at your first order. Keep your password confidential, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You may ask us to close your account at any time; see our privacy policy for how long we keep your records afterwards.

11. If something goes wrong

We must supply a kit that is as described and of satisfactory quality, and carry out the analysis with reasonable care and skill. If we do not, you are entitled to the remedies in the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which may include a repeat analysis or a refund. Nothing in these terms limits those rights or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Otherwise, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when the contract was made, for losses caused by your not following the sampling instructions, or for business losses, and our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the price you paid for it.

12. Business customers

If you buy in the course of a business, sections 6 and 7 do not apply. Our liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for it, we exclude liability for loss of profit, business or data and for indirect or consequential loss, and any claim must be notified to us within three months of the results being issued.

13. Complaints and the law

If you are unhappy with anything, please contact us first using the details in section 1 and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your local courts. These terms do not affect any rights you have under the law of the country where you live.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in force when you placed it.
